"Great are the works of the Lord”
(Psalm 111:2).

Please pray that everyday we will model Christ-like behavior; that we will exhibit humble attitudes of joyful service to nationals and fellow ROS (Rafiki Overseas Staff).

Pray for us to have wisdom and discernment as we manage different areas of Village life.

Pray for healthy bodies; safety in activities and travel; peaceful times of rest.

Pray for the children, that they would have a personal relationship with Jesus and trust in Him.

Pray for the mothers to have patience, strength, and wisdom in raising the children.

Pray that God will be glorified through Rafiki’s work in Liberia.

Pray that we will recognize His work and goodness everyday.

A Boy's Story
July 2010 (PDF:204k)

We walked back into the small community on the outskirts of Monrovia with the little boy and his aunt. They were showing us where they lived, so we could return the next day with a social worker. As we picked our way through reed-walled huts and shacks built out of rusty corrugated tin, we passed by a school. We could hear the students reciting the alphabet.

The boy stopped to peer in through the holes in the block wall. He had never attended school and the chances of doing so while he was living with his grandmother were slim.
