Survivor

They named him Survivor. As an infant, he was found in the “bush” by refugees fleeing into Monrovia during the last years of Liberia’s long civil war. He was tied to his dead mother’s back. No one thought he would live, but with some emergency feeding at a Red Cross center, he did. A woman finally agreed to care for him.
