Late Autumn

As summer approaches in the northern hemisphere, it is now late autumn in Tanzania, one of the coldest parts of the year. Sometimes the temperatures dip below 70 degrees F; not a cold winter by North American standards, but enough to feel the chill and wear a sweater or light jacket. It’s also the time of the approaching maize harvest. We are surrounded by fields of tall maize on all sides.
