“Lift up your eyes and look on the fields,
that they are white for harvest”
(John 4:35).

Please pray that the light of Jesus Christ will shine through me that others may see the Savior, glorify His name, and seek to know Him. (Matthew 5:16)

Pray that God will make me a woman of prayer, trusting Him with those I love and all I do. (Philippians 4:4-7)

Pray that God will build a strong and united team at Rafiki Village Liberia to minister to the “least of these.” (Colossians 3:12-17)

Pray that God will teach me how to do each task set before me. (Psalm 32:8)

Pray that God will grant wisdom and discernment as I work with the children, staff, and community. (James 1:5)

Pray for energy, stamina, and safety for all at the Rafiki Village. (Psalm 41:1, 2)

Pray for the children, that they will grow in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, that they might be bright lights shining for God’s glory. (Matthew 5:14)

Vast and Beautiful
May 2010 (PDF:316k)

As I walked across the Village at dawn today, I looked and I listened. I listened to a rooster’s crow, more than one, the chirp of the crickets, and in the distance the ocean called out, “Still here, still here.” But I looked at the sky. How vast, how beautiful it is. Not encumbered with the mass of mess, man’s creation, you can see the vastness of God’s creation and in it you see the smallness of planet Earth.
