It is Froggy Out!

The rains have disappeared, and we are in the midst of another dry season. While many of you are experiencing bitter cold, I must remind myself that it is February because it feels and looks much more like an Austin summer. Thankfully, Rwanda is dry and most days offer a cool breeze. Yesterday, God gave us a refreshing and unexpected rain which took some of the dust out of the air and provided cooler temperatures.

This morning, because of the rain, the clouds hung closely to the ground. In class, when my four-year-olds and I began to discuss the weather, one little girl with a large smile announced that it was froggy. What she meant was foggy. I love that these kiddos continue to boldly use English, and I love their mistakes. There are often giggles as we all work together to figure out the intended word. I know my Kinyarwanda errors provide laughter as well. Oh, I wish you could meet my little ones! You would love them.
