The Latest News from the Pedersons

Sorry O!
July 2010 (PDF:180k)

“Nigeria, Sorry O!” was all we could say to the mothers and children as they watched in disbelief at Nigeria’s tie with Korea, ending their participation in the World Cup. It was not a strong showing by this well-loved team and which many hoped would do much better. While we wouldn’t know where to begin to help the “Super Eagles” do better next time, there are many nationals and institutions we would love to see do a better job of helping Nigerians. Rafiki, by God’s grace, is enabling us to be a part of changing child-care and educational practices and indirectly assist ministry to widows in Nigeria. There’s no World Cup fanfare, face paint, or frenzy involved, but there is plenty of training, teaching, and time needed to provide far-reaching help to needy segments of Nigerian life.
