The Latest News from the Kochs

A Beehive
March 2010 (PDF:307k)

We hope that the icy grip of winter has finally left you and that you are seeing a few glimpses of spring! We have been blessed with a warm and wet rainy season and the Rafiki Village Zambia looks like a beautiful park, equipped with jubilant children playing on the park’s playground! Since January, our Village has transformed into a beehive of activity. We have preschool, kindergarten, first and second grade, and class one and two of JSS (Junior Secondary School), a grand total of seventy-seven students. Many of our new day-students from the surrounding villages arrive with a “deer in the headlights” look, but are now adjusting to our funny English, curriculum, and are soaking in the daily Bible lessons. We also have three new teachers to help cover all the classes.
