ROS #87

From
Marion, Ohio
Lee – Physician
Dianne – Elementary teacher/homemaker

“Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God’” (Mark 10:14).

Please pray with us for:
Continued good health and safety for the children.

Rafiki Mothers to grow spiritually, improve their English, and nurture the children well.

Acceptance of new orphans as God reveals more called, qualified, and mature women.

Teachers—Nigerian and ROS—that they would have strong commitment to the Rafiki curriculum.

Unity of ROS to encourage and strengthen the children’s emotional and spiritual growth.

Each child to be 100% financially sponsored for quality care and physical nourishment.

MiniMissionaries (short-term co-workers) eager to come and experience the program.

Continued expansion of the Satellite program to ten villages in ten countries.

God’s continued wisdom and guidance to Rafiki Home Office Staff.

The Latest News from the Johnsons

Do Not Be Anxious
February 2010 (PDF:401k)

Anxious, worried, upset over the finances, illness, or your future? What can be done about it?
Anxious with fifty-some children having an unknown illness that could mask underlying malaria, typhoid, or even Kawasaki’s disease, how could Lee, as the overseeing doctor, rest in peace? With 107 children’s outfits needing to be finished before Christmas, how could Dianne rest without worrying? When a Rafiki Mother is leaving and there is no replacement, how will the children receive care? What will happen IF?

What relief can we have short of realizing God is sovereign, which means we can trust Him even in the seemingly bad things both real and imagined?
