Rafiki's Plan to Meet the Crisis
May 2009 (PDF:278k)

Many of you have written to comment on the excitement you had when you read the Rafiki Report (Spring 2009). Rosemary Jensen writes about the education crisis in Africa and the plan that Rafiki has for confronting that crisis. The report states that “if Africa is to confront its problems, then the upcoming generation must be equipped academically, as well as spiritually, to meet the challenge.” Rafiki has met that challenge by expanding its education program from a school for resident children to include children from surrounding villages who study as day-students. Rafiki Uganda currently has 176 children in the education program.
