“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect” (Romans 12:1-2).

Daily Prayer Topics
SUNDAY — God will give me a joy-filled love for Himself in heart, soul, and mind (Matthew 22:37).

THURSDAY — God will redirect my thinking and decision-making in all aspects of my work and life (2 Corinthians 10:5).

FRIDAY — God will grant strength, courage, and safety as I live and work here (Joshua 1:9).

A place of Peace
June 2010 (PDF:274k)

Last month, a flock of guinea fowl took up residence at our Village. I very much enjoy watching the guinea fowl, with their polka-dot feathers and graceful curving bodies, as they explore the Village looking for breakfast each morning. We think the birds moved from the ranch next door where poaching is a serious problem. One of our cooks explained, “They like it here—it is peaceful.”
