A nine-year-old boy lost
both parents tragically. He
was passed from home to
home. He had no home of
his own, and he did not know
the love of family, nor did
he know of a far greater love
in Christ. This little boy
looked wisebeyond his years
yet there was no light in his
eyes. God brought him to a
home filled with new brothers
and sisters. He has a mother
now. His eyes are now filled
with sparks of joy and
mischief as he plays about
the gazeboat the Rafiki Village
in Accra, Ghana. This little boy is an answer to prayer poured out from groups around the world who support this ministry through prayer.

Rafiki Prayer Groups (RPGs) provide monthly prayer support for Rafiki Overseas Staff (ROS), Rafiki Villages, and
the Home Office. The prayer groups range in size from two to fifty members.

Rafiki very much appreciates the prayer groups and considers them partners in our ministry to care for vulnerable children and teens in developing countries.

Prayer groups meet once a month. Requests and updates from the Villages, ROS, and from the Home Office are
shared. The group prays for the needs of this ministry.

Prayer group members may include your friends, family, neighbors, and church members. Rafiki Area Representatives
(RARs) are available to work with prayer groups to provide additional support.

RPGs are a vital partner in this ministry as we provide hope and care for the needy in developing countries.

How to Start a Rafiki Prayer Group
Individuals interested in starting a Rafiki Prayer Group may contact the Home Office at 407-557-2850 or e-mail
rpg@rafiki-foundation.org.

Prayer groups receive a copy of the Rafiki Prayer Group manual, prayer cards for the ROS, brochures, a Rafiki
calendar, a copy of the Rafiki Report, and a DVD of the Rafiki video.

The Home Office registers the group and works with the group leader to select a center needing prayer support.
RPGs may adopt more than one center to support in prayer.

Please include the leader’s name, address, phone number, and e-mail address to the Home Office. RPG updates are
sent via e-mail. Prayer groups need an e-mail contact to receive the updates.

Rafiki Prayer Groups in Action
RPGs support this ministry in a variety of ways. Prayer group members may participate in MiniMissions by
volunteering at a Rafiki Village.

Some of the RPGs are donating $5 or more per year to provide Bibles for the young women and children at the
Rafiki Villages.

ROS raise support to pay for expenses while serving God at the Rafiki Villages. The RPGs may also host a coffee to provide contacts for the ROS.
