Rafiki’s Aim
Rafiki ’s aim is to turn helpless children in Africa into godly contributors in their countries.
Rafiki’s Goal
Rafiki ’s goal is to establish one Christian training Village in each of the ten following countries:
Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Nigeria, Rwanda, Tanzania, Zambia, and Uganda.
These Villages are funded by donors outside Africa and staffed by Rafiki professional missionary staff and hired
nationals. A Rafiki Training Village consists of homes for ten orphans each, residence halls, schools for these orphans,
medical care for occupants, and facilities for training other groups to replicate Rafiki’s efforts.
Since our goal is to develop these children to be godly contributors to their countries in Africa, we do not
facilitate the adoption of these children out of their countries, nor do we plan on educating them in the United
States. Instead, we will raise and educate them in their home countries so that they will remain and provide the
much needed leadership and help in their own culture.
Rafiki’s Work with Children
Rafiki sends out qualified professionals to work with nationals to achieve the following goals:
Physical
- Keeping orphans alive and healthy
- Instruct orphans in good lifetime health habits
- Instruct orphans and selected adults in maintaining an HIV/AIDS free community
- Serve the community by providing specific types of health care and other community enrichment
Spiritual
- Encourage children to come to know the Lord Jesus Christ
- Teach orphans the principles of godly living as outlined in Scripture
- Provide opportunities for orphans to serve God by serving others
Educational
- Give orphans a modified classical Christian education from preschool through senior secondary school including
vocational training
- Serve as a training model for African partners to replicate
Social
- Instruct orphans on the rights and responsibilities of being a citizen in their country
- Help orphans to operate in an international setting
- Educate orphans in the history and cultural ways of their country
- Teach orphans respect for authority, for others, and for the life they have been given
- Encourage orphans to stand out as people of integrity, responsibility, and creativity
Rafiki’s strategy in achieving these goals is to:

Rafiki Foundation, Inc.
